Conference call with Resourcing Director. Team meeting. Discuss pipeline and Britain’s Got Talent. Review client sourcing strategy. Write presentation on Direct Sourcing for new biz presentation. Argue about last night’s penalty shoot out. Desk research on new client. Host meeting with HRD of major bank. Dream for a moment about being General Manager, maybe Managing Director. Come back to earth and deal with emails. ‘Healthy debate’ over new Employer Branding with Copywriter. Mud wrestle. In your mind. Must cut back on the caffeine. Finish off white paper *get interrupted* on social sourcing. Introduce graduate team to senior client contact. Coach and reassure team member doing first presentation. Review response results with contact centre. Discuss pros and cons of facial hair. Take a deep breath and say ‘yes’ when a potential client calls with a crazy deadline. Stop everything you were doing and call an all-departments meeting to agree response. Smile as you think back to the mind-numbing trivia of your old job. Finally stop for elevenses.
